Making a World of Difference in Mississippi

Good Will--Good Works

While material donations, trucks, and stores are what typically come to mind when Goodwill is mentioned, we are really about people. All these are but a means to an end....employing and building self-esteem in people.

Our organization helps create a better community by providing services and support to individuals who have encountered challenges in obtaining meaningful employment through conventional methods.

Our hope is that the people we serve will be able to broaden their vocational skills through education, training, and occupational experience.

Opportunites

Goodwill Industries of Miss. Inc. works closely with State of Mississippi, Vocational Rehabilitation Services.  Goodwill Industries is CARF accredited and has policies such as a Code of Ethics which states that services are provided to consumers regardless of race, gender, national origin, disability, religious beliefs, age or sexual orientation.

Goodwill not only serves Vocational Rehabilitation clients but federal offenders who are housed in a federal half-way house and court appointed community service workers.

G.E.D. classes are opened to the public twice a week at our Twelve Oaks Circle facility and there are several other classes provided for clients and employees who work at Goodwill.
