When you donate to Goodwill, you are not only helping to fund our programs and services, but you are also helping to reduce waste and protect the environment. Goodwill diverts millions of pounds of items from landfills each year by reselling and recycling donated items. Your donations can help make a difference in the lives of individuals in your community and the planet as a whole!

Due to safety, legal, space constraints, or environmental concerns, Goodwill cannot accept the following items: 

• Batteries

• Food and beverages

• Bricks

• Garage doors

• Candles

• Gutters

• Chemicals, cleaning supplies, and/or hazardous materials

• Hot water heaters

• Concrete

• Cosmetics and haircare products

• Lumber

• Mattresses older than 7 years - tags must be attached

• Cribs, strollers, and carseats

• Medications

• Paint

• CRT TVs (televisions that are not flat screen and are a box in shape)

• Rags

• Sleeper sofas

• Stone

• Dishwashers

• Donations that are heavily soiled, broken, worn, torn, stained, mildewed. wet. flammable, rusty, missing parts or are in any way dangerous

• Fencing

• Swimming pools

• Swing sets

• Toilets

• Toys and games that do not comply with CPSC safety standards

• Trash compactors

• Tubs

• Firearms

• Fireworks
