Goodwill Holds First Job Extravaganza of 2024 School Year

Goodwill of Mississippi, in partnership with the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services (MDRS), held our first Job Extravaganza of the 2024 school year. The event was designed to provide students with diverse learning needs a hands-on experience, helping them explore various career paths and interact directly with local businesses. Over 60 students participated, each one gaining valuable insight into the world of work and the opportunities that await them.

A special thank you goes out to Pearl Public School District for their incredible support in making this event possible. The district’s involvement, alongside the enthusiastic participation of local businesses, created an empowering environment where students could engage with professionals and envision their future careers.

We are also immensely grateful to Build Mississippi for hosting the event at their location. Their partnership and generosity played a key role in the day’s success, as students explored, learned, and began to shape their career goals.

Together, through collaborations like these, we are making a meaningful and positive impact in our community—opening doors and expanding possibilities for the next generation of workers!
