We’re thrilled to celebrate one of our own, Tammy Louvier, who was recently featured in Mississippi Magazine’s "Mississippians Making A Difference" section in their November/December issue! Tammy’s dedication to Goodwill of Mississippi and her passion for literacy have made her a true changemaker in our community.
Tammy leads our BookWorks program, a childhood literacy initiative that provides books to preschool-aged children throughout Central Mississippi. Through BookWorks, she has helped put thousands of books into the hands of young readers, fostering a love for reading and supporting early childhood development. Tammy’s commitment to this program shines through in everything she does, from organizing book donations to working directly with children to spark that joy for reading.
BookWorks has made a significant impact on young lives in our community, giving children access to books they might not otherwise have. Tammy’s hard work is at the heart of this initiative, and her efforts have helped build a program that promotes literacy, opens doors to learning, and encourages lifelong success.
We are so grateful for Tammy’s contributions and are incredibly proud to see her recognized as a "Mississippian Making A Difference." Her work reflects Goodwill’s mission of empowerment and opportunity, making her an invaluable part of our team and an inspiration to us all.
Congratulations, Tammy, on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for the difference you’re making in Mississippi!
